TRUPCR® FFPE Tissue DNA Extraction Kit

TRUPCR® FFPE Tissue DNA Kit is optimised for purification of DNA from FFPE tissue sections. It ensures efficient deparaffinisation, robust lysis and consistent yield, supporting accurate downstream applications. It uses well established technology for purification of genomic DNA from small sample volumes or sizes. The kit combines the selective binding properties of a silica-based membrane with flexible elution volumes of between 25 and 100 μl.

The DNA extraction procedure steps:

• Deparaffinisation – Removal of paraffin using xylene followed by ethanol evaporation to prepare FFPE sections for lysis.
• Lysis & Decrosslinking – Proteinase K digestion followed by 90°C heat to release DNA and reverse formalin crosslinks.
• Bind & Wash – DNA binds to the silica membrane; contaminants are removed using BBW and BB5 buffers.
• Elution – Purified DNA is release with Buffer BBE, ready for downstream applications.
